…I’m Howard Speirs, a commercial photographer based in Cornwall, Southwest U.K. I specialise in commissioned photography for corporate clients… from plant and machinery, to end products and the people who make them happen.
I thrive on diversity… on finding solutions to challenges… on producing unique and arresting images. On these pages you’ll find a small selection from my working portfolio. Some were quite simple… some were painstakingly researched and executed… all were fun to shoot... and, most importantly, all ‘hit the spot’ with my clients.
I’m also one of those lucky souls for whom work is a passion that spills over into everyday life… so I’ve included a page of personal images… Travel, Motorsport etc… events in my life that NEED to be recorded!
In 25 years as a commercial photographer, I’ve travelled to all parts of the U.K. and undertaken European commissions ranging from Diamond Brokers in Antwerp (Backes & Strauss) to Industrial Greenhouse Lighting in Amstelveen (GE Lighting). I have a studio near Truro where most of my food and product photography is undertaken, together with all the computer postproduction work.
